Welcome to Mix Radio! These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the rules for using our website (mixradio.uk) and our radio stream (the "Service"). By tuning in or using our site, you agree to these rules. So, please give them a read!

We are Mix Radio, a station proudly owned by Cute Media. We also work in shared association with our partners at Planet XO. When we say "we," "us," or "our," we mean Mix Radio and Cute Media.

1. Using Our Service (The Fun Part)

Personal Listening

Our Service is intended for your personal entertainment. This means you must not capture, or record our stream for any other purpose.

Playing Mix Radio in Your Business (Shops, Cafés, Pubs, etc.)

We love that you want to share the music! You are welcome to play Mix Radio in your shop, café, pub, or other public place. However, please be aware of your own legal responsibilities.

Our broadcast license covers *our* right to broadcast the music to you. It does *not* cover your business's right to play music in a public setting. In the UK, businesses that play background music (from any source, including radio) are almost certainly required to have their own public performance licenses from organisations like PPL and PRS for Music.

So, while you're free to tune us in, please make sure your business is properly licensed for public music performance. That part is your responsibility!

Competitions & Giveaways

We love giving away free stuff! From time to time, we may run competitions on our "Free & Earn" page or on-air. These competitions will have their own set of specific rules, which will be posted with the competition. These Terms of Service will apply to all competitions, in addition to their specific rules.

2. Being a Good Listener (User Conduct)

We're a community, and we ask that you respect it. When using our site or contacting us, you agree not to:

  • Use our service for any illegal or shady purpose.
  • Send us spam, viruses, or any other nasty code via our contact forms.
  • Be abusive, hateful, or harassing to our team or other listeners.
  • Try to hack, scrape, or break our website, player, or stream.

If you break these rules, we reserve the right to block your access to the Service.

3. Our "Stuff" (Intellectual Property)

This is a two-part section, and it's important:

Our Brand

The name "Mix Radio," our logo, the website design, and all our original content are the property of Cute Media. You can't use them without our explicit written permission.

The Music

We play a lot of amazing music from incredible artists. We do this legally and have all the necessary broadcast licenses (like from PPL and PRS in the UK). However, **you do not own the music**. These terms do not grant you any rights to copy, download, sell, or distribute the music you hear. The copyrights for all songs and recordings belong to the artists, labels, and publishers.

4. Third-Party Links & Content

Our site is designed to be useful, so we link to other websites and pull in content we think you'll like (such as news from the BBC and travel from National Highways).

We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy policies of these third-party sites. When you click a link and leave Mix Radio, you're on your own adventure. This also applies to our partners at Cute Media and Planet XO – they have their own policies for their own sites.

5. Disclaimers (The "It's Not Our Fault If..." Bit)

We work really hard to keep the tunes flowing 24/7, but we can't promise our Service will always be perfect. Things happen!

  • The Stream Might Drop: Technical gremlins, server maintenance, or internet outages can happen. We'll fix it as fast as we can, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime.
  • Third-Party Info: The news, weather, and travel info on our site comes from external sources. We can't guarantee it's always accurate or up-to-the-minute.
  • "As Is": Our Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties.

6. Limitation of Liability

This is the big legal one. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mix Radio and Cute Media (including our team, directors, and partners) will not be liable for any damages (direct, indirect, or consequential) that might come from you using—or not being able to use—our Service.

If you live somewhere that doesn't allow this kind of waiver, this may not apply to you. But for most of our UK listeners, this is the standard legal stuff.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. By continuing to use the Service after we make changes, you're agreeing to the new terms.

8. Governing Law

Since we're a UK station, these Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of England and Wales.
